Schedule of Self-Help Healthcare
Lectures & Events 7Adinkras Mini-Screening & Art Auction The women artists of 7Adinkras will present trailers of their individual and collaborative works in this special fundraising event celebrating women's creativity and personal expression. Audiences will see preview footage of New Growth: Journey to Nappiness, a documentary on black women, hair and identity; Russell Gunn: The Sound of One Hand Clapping, a documentary about the creative talent and conviction of jazz/hip hop artist Russell Gunn; Hoo Hoo: Losing Mother Tongue, a memorial to a Chinese matriarch simultaneously revered and rejected by her Chinese American offspring; and Daddy’s Girl, an exploration of how the women’s adult relationships have been impacted by the father-daughter dynamics of their childhood.
No healthcare events are scheduled for the rest of 2005.
