About the Self-Help Healthcare Coach
Sandra M. Yee earned her Doctorate of Complementary Medicine (D.C.M.) in 1998, with an emphasis in acupuncture and homeopathy, under apprenticeship with triple-Ph.D. healing masters Ken and Kumari Wright. Having trained initiates in acupuncture and homeopathy alongside her professors in the U.S. and Southeast Asia, Dr. Yee is now based in Atlanta, GA, leading workshops in self-healing and self-empowerment. Born to a Chinese immigrant family in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Yee uses humor and creative metaphors to explain the sometimes complex principles of energy medicine. She aims to “un-Orientalize” non-Western healing doctrines so that the average American can grasp how ancient medicine works to allow the body to heal. Dr. Yee's writings on natural wellness have appeared in several local and regional publications, including The Life Line, New Life Journal, Hue-niversal Conscious Living, and the Complementary Alternative Medical Association’s online journal Choices. Her creative non-fiction has recently been featured in two anthologies: Aunties: 35 Writers Celebrate Their Other Mother (Ballantine Books, 2004) and Journey to a Blissful Life (BET Books, 2005). She is also a member of the 7 Adinkras Creative Media as a writer/producer and also serves as co-editor of the group's first book project, Daddy's Girl. She is currently at work on a collection of essays merging the healer, teacher and artist within her. In addition to the private coaching available in the self-healthcare

implementing natural healing techniques into everyday living.
